It’s May, and that means it’s time to honor all the mothers in our lives. From mothers to grandmothers, aunts to in-laws, there are so many women who make our lives better. And so many women who make all of Oak Cliff a more vibrant and welcoming community.
In this issue, we present to you some of those women. In Focus introduces you to Linda Jackson, a local mother who not only raises her own children with love but also cares for the newest crop of Oak Cliff mommies at her Methodist hospital position. Get to know her, as well as the new and improved hospital around the corner.

As mothers go, I certainly have the best. But I’m sure many of you feel the same way. We hope you have some time this month to appreciate the women in your lives that have cared for you unselfishly. So many mothers continue to care for us through the most difficult of circumstances; it is the least we can do to spend a little time appreciating their efforts.
We encourage you to take a cue from Melody Townsel this May, and stretch the Mother’s Day celebrations out as long as you can. Why not make it Mother’s Day Month?
