Winnetka Heights resident and frequent Back Talk Oak Cliff commenter Meredith Stegall e-mailed again this morning to let me know that  "the kids setting the fires escalated today."

"The latest casualty is 1518 12th Street. It appeared that the fire started on the back side of the home. Luckily, we think it was vacant. One of the ladies who was part of our alley patrol believes she saw the kids walking over there." The home didn’t burn to the ground, but Stegall says if she had to guess, "it would now be considered a 70 percent loss."
