Or, as it’s known in most of the rest of the English-speaking world, Boxing Day — an English tradition where the wealthy give gifts to the less fortunate on the day after Christmas. Interestingly, Boxing Day these days is a shopping holiday for post-Christmas sales. And, apparently, they get as worked up about it as we do for Thanksgiving’s Black Friday.

The video is from Melbourne, Australia on Boxing Day in 2006 (courtesy of minkx8 at YouTube). Customers are queued up at 7 a.m. to get in the David Jones department store. I’ll never understand this shopping business.
