Methodist is calling it "Methodist Family Health Center — Kessler Park", and intends for it to serve neighbors in Kessler Park, Stevens Park and North Oak Cliff. The center with be the anchor tenant at the Bishop Arts Plaza and Lofts, on Bishop and Colorado directly across from Methodist Hospital.
It will essentially act as a doctor’s office, with primary care physicians taking patients by appointment. Michael Arvin, president of MedHealth, which operates the Methodist Family Health Centers, says this center and another new center set to open in Uptown "are seen as a positive step toward increasing convenient access to primary health care in the communities served by Methodist."
The new Kessler Park health center will be a 6,000-square foot office and will open Aug. 1.
