You may have seen Emily Aberg’s posts about a few of the vendors who will be present at Oak Cliff Earth Day — the Texas Rustlers Guinea Pig Rescue, the Texas Honeybee Guild, and Red Cross and Kessler Cookie Company. She’ll have more to come today and the rest of this week, leading up to Sunday’s big event.

I also heard from even organizer Roger Bolen that Oak Cliff Earth Day will welcome a few local celebrities. Word on the street has it that Mayor Tom Leppert (who will also be at Methodist’s Hitt Auditorium this evening speaking against a couple of propositions on the May 9 ballot) has the event on his calendar, and should be arriving around 2:30 p.m.

The other local celebrities may be a little more obscure — a couple of former pro-football players named Michael Irvin and Deion Sanders, who should be showing up around 2 p.m.
