This week, I’ve written a few mini features on some of the vendors at this year’s Oak Cliff Earth Daythe Texas Honeybee Guild, Texas Rustlers Guinea Pig Rescue, Blitz, the Grand Prairie Worm Farm, Red Cross and the Kessler Cookie Company.

Roger Bolen, this year’s Oak Cliff Earth Day chairman, says this year is shaping up to be bigger than the previous two years. The year, he expects 10,000 attendees–almost twice as much as last year. 40 more vendors registered than last year and Bolen says it’s the new types of exhibitors along with the more traditional ones that make this year stand out. The city’s Cease The Grease and storm water management programs, national and neighborhood environmentalist groups and renewable energy companies will all have information tables, as well as family violence advocacy groups, organic pet companies and local DO-It-Yourself clothing companies. A complete list of vendors can be found here.

"We had such a high interest this year that we had to close registration a month early," Bolen says.
