A story in May’s Oak Cliff Advocate about a new book telling the history of our neighborhood in photos — many from personal family collections — is generating all kinds of buzz on our website. People are chiming in with their own memories of Oak Cliff — like Larry Click’s recollection of walking to Ball Nut & Candy Co. every day after school to "get a dime’s worth of cashews and maybe a few cherry balls while waiting for the bus back to Wynnewood."

Don’t miss our slideshow with a few of the authors’ favorite photos from the book, which is now on bookshelves at Dicho’s in Bishop Arts as well as other major bookstores around Dallas. The authors will sign copies this Saturday, May 2 at Dicho’s from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., and at the Cedar Hill Barnes and Noble from 2-4 p.m.
