It’s that time of year. The Water Conservation Ordinance takes effect today, which means that through October 31, all Dallas residents are prohibited from watering their laws with sprinklers between the hours of 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. The Ordinance also has a few other guidelines aimed at conservation of water, such as not watering the lawn when it’s raining or allowing runoff.  The City of Dallas Water Utilities website has the full list of guidelines. Violation of any of these guidelines can result in fines from $250 to $2000 after a warning for the first offense.
