Video: Sunset High School student Jesus Villegas

Jesus Villegas, a Sunset High School student featured in May’s Oak Cliff Advocate, clearly was empowered by a business venture course he took as a Dallas ISD elective. The course incorporated the National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship program, which teaches entrepreneurship to young peole from low-income communities.

Villegas’s business venture is Rosaries: A Gift of Love, and in the video after the jump, he talks about how he learned to make rosaries, and how this small business model will help him in the future.

(Stay tuned on Back Talk next week for a video on Sunset student Eidi Lule, also featured in May’s Oak Cliff Advocate.)
