Budget town halls coming earlier this year

City officials announced this week that they will ask for input from  residents on the budget crisis with four pre-budget town hall meetings in June, including one at the Goodwill building on Westmoreland and at Cedar Crest golf course. Even when the city’s doing great financially, every August, council members, the city manager or one of her assistants, and others go out into the public and explain the upcoming budget to the citizens.

With the city’s current budget crisis, some of those meetings are coming earlier in the summer. Jump for the full schedule:

All meetings are from 6:30 to 8 p.m.:

Wednesday, June 3
Cedar Crest Golf Course
1800 Southerland Ave.

Tuesday, June 9
Goodwill Industries
3020 N. Westmoreland Road

Monday, June 22
Jewish Community Center
7900 Northaven Road

Thursday, June 25
Winfrey Point at White Rock Lake
950 E. Lawther Drive
