Folsom Award event nets $1 million for Methodist Hospital

Last week, I told you restaurant magnate Norman Brinker would be honored with the Methodist Health System Foundation’s Robert S. Folsom Leadership Award.

Well, here comes this gem of a photo of the event. Pictured are Pete Schenkel, Folsom Award co-chairman and vice chairman of Dean Foods; Stephen Mansfield, president and CEO of Methodist Health System; Doug Brooks, Folsom Award co-chairman and president and CEO of Brinker International and Norman Brinker.

The award gala raised more than $1 million to benefit Methodist’s emergency and trauma services, a department that serves more than 140,000 patients every year. The Folsom Award event is Methodist’s largest fundraiser.
