For the most part, magnet schools and TAGs in Dallas ISD avoided major staff losses, but learning centers didn’t fare as well. Anticipate fewer operating hours this summer at our neighborhood’s rec centers, like Kidd Springs, Kiest and Martin Weiss. The Dallas Park and Recreation Department says its priority in the face of budget cuts is to preserve programs for children.
