The good news is that average home prices didn’t decline in five of the ZIP codes where we publish magazines. Given what’s going on in the rest of the country and the Dallas–Fort Worth area, that is pretty good news.
The bad news is that prices fell in 18 of the 23 ZIP codes in the first five months of the year, and some of the drops were huge – 19.9 percent in 75225 in Preston Hollow; 20.4 percent in 75254 in Far North Dallas; and 26 percent in 75204 in East Dallas.
