Dan Eddy recently was named Methodist Health System’s vice-president of external affairs. In this newly created role, Eddy, who grew up in Oak Cliff, will be responsible for local, state and federal government affairs and public policy advocacy to enhance Methodist’s ability to deliver and improve health care in North Texas. Eddy’s long list of experience and accomplishments include former board member of Methodist Health System, past chairman of the board of directors of the Oak Cliff Chamber of Commerce, and member of the Forward Dallas comprehensive plan committee.
Virginia Mary Flanagan, a resident of the 2000 block of Marydale, recently turned 85. Stevens Park Estates neighbors celebrated Flanagan’s birthday and her longtime residence in the neighborhood.
