Preservation Dallas is offering a hard-hat tour of the Kessler Theater Thursday as part of its Summer Sizzler series. Edwin Cabaniss is redeveloping the Art Deco theater, which opened in 1942 and once was owned by Gene Autry. The renovated theater, which is under construction now, will have a performance space, dance studio and retail and office space.
The tour meets at 6 p.m. Thursday at Kavala. Tickets are $10 for preservation Dallas Members and $20 otherwise.
