Advocate video: First day of school

Mary McLeod Bethune Elementary School and Moises E. Molina High School in Oak Cliff received Recognized status from the Texas Education Agency this year. DISD Superintendent Michael Hinojosa greeted students at both schools this morning, but we missed him. A media release stated that Hinojosa would visit the schools at 8 a.m. and 8:30 a.m., respectively, but he got there super early and hightailed it before 8. But here is some video of kids on their first day of school.
