Carter, Adamson students to co-anchor DISD news shows

Lorena Watson, a senior at David W. Carter High School has been chosen to co-anchor "School Zone Dallas," a 30-minute news program about DISD, which is produced by district employees and hosted by students. The show, which airs on KERA, has won Lone Star Emmy awards three times. Watson’s co-anchor is Nicholas Muston of Woodrow Wilson High School in East Dallas. Emma Cepeda, a student at Sunset High School, will be a reporter on the show.

Raul Ortega, a student at W. H. Adamson High School, was chosen to co-anchor the show’s Spanish version, "Zona Escolar de Dallas." It airs on KUVN.
