THIS MONTH, TAKE A COOKING CLASS …
… from Eatzi’s Market & Bakery in the kitchen of the new Hunger Busters facility at 3116 Sylvan. The classes include lessons with Eatzi’s chefs, and food and wine pairings. Aug. 11 will feature salsas and sangrias, Aug. 18, sweets and champagne, and Aug. 25, sausages and suds — beer, that is. Each class is $50, and all the money goes to the Hunger Busters Feed the Need-After School Program. To register, call 214.526.1515. Students must be 21 or older.

… to the Rose Garden Upscale Resale Shop at 841 W. Davis. All of the shop’s proceeds benefit the 2000 Roses Foundation, which helps formerly incarcerated women transition into the working world. The shop accepts clothing donations, and the foundation accepts monetary donations. To donate clothes, call 214.941.1333 or go by the store. Monetary donations to the foundation can be made by calling, or on its website at 2000roses.org.
