The August issue of Texas Monthly lists the Cliff Cafe’s brie and granny smith burger at No. 32 on its list of the 50 best burgers in Texas. The magazine story says they tasted more than 250 burgers all over the state. But they didn’t pick Chris Madrid’s, which many San Antonians say has the best burgers anywhere. In Dallas, they ranked Jake’s at No. 50, but snubbed Keller’s. Four of the 50 are in East Dallas, including No. 1, the classic cheeseburger at the Grape.
