Not everyone can hit for the cycle, but Oak Cliff neighbors can hit their cycles this weekend. Saturday is the 11th annual Red Hot Chili Pepper Rally, a bike ride that starts at the Calumet Community Center in West Dallas. Choose a 20-, 40- or 60-mile route. There are water stops every 10 miles, and you can register online. Then on Saturday night, mingle with cycling enthusiasts at the Oak Cliff Bicycle Co.’s grand opening from 7-10 p.m.
Get some retail therapy at a sale featuring art and handcrafted items from the Oak Cliff Art Divaz. The sale is at Sandaga Market from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and all the items are priced with the recession in mind.
The Belmont Hotel is opening its pool to the public every Sunday in August from 3-7 p.m., starting this weekend. Bring a towel.
