Wednesday nights through October are movie nights at the Belmont Hotel. And it’s like they chose the line-up just for me. The series kicks off Sept. 9. It’s a tribute night to John Hughes and a screening "Sixteen Candles." Everyone who was a girl growing up in the 80s (and some who were boys, too) knows Jake Ryan is the dreamiest.

The following Wednesday is "Ferris Bueller’s Day Off," another Hughes flick. The rest of the movies are just as fun: "The Three Amigos," "Spies Like Us," "The Big Lebowski," "The Jerk," "Fletch," and "Ghostbusters."
