Mighty Fine Arts on Saturday is opening "All I Ever Wanted was Everything" from Candace Briceno. Briceno’s work involves painting, drawing and sewing, and you can see some of her stuff here. The show also features work from Wendi Medling. The opening reception is from 6-9 p.m.

The Haley-Henman gallery also has an opening Saturday for "The Naturalists," which features an all-female lineup: Sussan Afrasiabian, Sunny Jacquet, Shari Hornish and Brenda McKinney. According to the press release, "The works are indeed a feminine response to their relationship with nature’s beauty." The opening is from 7-10 p.m.

Two Oak Cliff artists are showing their paintings at the Norwood Flynn Gallery. Ray-Mel Cornelius is showing "Emperors & Roosters," and Christopher Bingham, an art teacher at Skyline High School, is showing "Neon Dallas."

Art Spirit‘s third annual Block Party and Peace Festival in the Bishop Arts District is Sunday from 2-8:30 p.m. It marks the International Day of Peace, which is Sept. 21. There will be live music, poetry readings and vendor booths.
