The six dogs that Animal Services took from a home on June Drive, where officers also found the remains of almost 200 dead cats, had to be put down. A municipal court judge ruled Wednesday that the dogs were cruelly treated, and revoked homeowner Charles Coleman’s ownership of them.

"Unfortunately, because of the vicious, aggressive nature of the dogs … euthanasia was necessary, and they were put down yesterday," says assistant city attorney Deborah Jagai, who argued the case against Coleman. She says the dogs were roaming the neighborhood and threatening animals and people.
