Hula Hotties Cafe & Bakery might be the best restaurant in Oak Cliff. There are so many good ones, but no other has Hawaiian food nor a sandwich called Thanksgiving on a bun. Plus, every time I go there, I want to taste every beautiful cookie that co-owner Jill Inforzato has in the case. But I rarely have room for dessert.

This Thursday, my pastry dreams come true. Inforzato is offering samples of her desserts as part of First Thursday in the Bishop Arts District. From 6-9 p.m., she is offering tastes of her cookies, cakes, candies and tarts. And her husband, musician and Hula Hotties co-owner Roger Simpson, will perform.
