We called around to as many Oak Cliff restaurants as we could think of this morning in an attempt to compile a list of places that are open on Thanksgiving. I have it on good authority that Church’s chicken is open that day. And maybe Sonic.
But if you’re looking for something more traditional, Smoke might be the best bet. They have a $40 fixed menu with everything — smoked turkey, ham, leg of lamb, butternut squash soup, greens and root vegetable salad, creamed spinach, saffron and corn stuffing, and on and on. Reservations are still available.
We’ll let you know if we hear of any other place that’s open.
