It was wetter in 2009, too

Quickly, so we can prepare for the Arctic Blast!!!! headed our way later this week:

We had almost 41 inches of rain in 2009; the average is about 35 inches. We’ve exceeded the average six times since 2000, which is odd enough. Four times we had more than 40 inches, including 50 inches in 2007 — the fifth wettest year on record. What makes it even more odd is that we slipped in a drought in 2005, with only 19 inches of rain.
