Wanna head down to the Ex Plus? If you don’t know, now you know: the up-and-coming commercial district near Tyler and Davis is being branded "X+" because of how it looks on the street map. If I understand correctly, the "X" is where Kings Highway meets Davis, and the "+" is where Davis and Tyler cross.
Business owners in the area just launched a new X+ neighborhood Web site that offers another name: Tyler Davis Art District. But X+ is catching on. Opalina Salas of Cliff Notes Prolonged Media says she is renaming the store’s monthly poetry reading to "Poets on X+".
In print, I think I might have to stick with Ex Plus or Tyler Davis Art District because X+ looks like math.
