Glamour, glamour, glamour! The Pin Show at Union Station Thursday night featured 31 designers, including at least four from Oak Cliff, who all design and produce clothing exclusively within their local economies.

The Oak Cliff lines included 2enju by Pin Show co-founder Julie McCullough Kim, Salvage House by Tracy, Indigo Private Label and CarmenIris by Carmen Campos.

The designs for Salvage House were inspired by renovations to the vintage home the designer recently bought in the Bishop Arts District. Her little day dresses are like prairie girl meets Ralph Lauren. So cute and wearable.

Indigo Private Label’s designs were among the more sophisticated. Maybe I wouldn’t wear high-waisted shorts and bloomers, but if Diasy Buchanan were around, she’d be buying Indigo designs.

Carmen Campos, who was born and raised in Oak Cliff, makes hip, relaxed dresses and jumpers with little vests, and all of her designs are for curvy women. She was the only designer who didn’t use ultra-thin models.

Other designers we liked included Qétura, Cooper by Courtney and the swimwear line from Cyren by Cherelle Yvette.
