And Clay Liford, who lives in Exposition Park and has a studio in Oak Cliff, has a new feature, Earthling, which debuted at SXSW.

Skateland was shot in East Texas and features Lakewood teen actress Caroline Horn.

There’s also a showcase of short films from students at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts.

I’m excited about American: The Bill Hicks Story, a biopic about the Texas-born comic, which debuted at SXSW last month. And Carried Away is a Texas-made film that’s highly acclaimed.

This one has to be entertaining: Doc Ellis and the LSD No-No. Ellis is the only pitcher in Major League Baseball known to throw a no-hitter while high on LSD.

It’s a good chance to check out some of these movies and lots of others. Here is the full listing.
