… with the Friends of Oak Cliff Parks. The group works from 7-11 a.m. every Saturday in parks around Oak Cliff. But there is always work to do in the parks, and volunteers can choose to work in any park at any time they like. Contact Barbara Barbee at 214.331.4758 or to get involved,



… a bicycle to the Lone Star Ride Fighting AIDS. The 165-mile ride in September benefits charities including AIDS Services of Dallas in Oak Cliff. The program needs used adult road bikes for its loaner program so that cyclists who cannot afford a bike can borrow one. Anyone who wishes to donate a bike can contact David Minehart at 214.521.2412 or
