This weekend: poetry, roses, movie

Cliff Notes Prolonged Media presents Poets on X+, a poetry open mic night, at 8 p.m. Friday at Mighty Fine Arts. Bring a children’s book for Rosemont Elementary.

A dedication ceremony to celebrate the restoration of Works Progress Administration structures at Lake Cliff Park’s rose garden in 10:30 a.m. Saturday. RSVP to council member Delia Jasso’s office, 214.670.4052, so they can make sure to have enough chairs and refreshments.

“Undocumented” is a documentary about illegal immigration whose producer, Robert Curlin, lives in Oak Cliff. Parts of the movie were filmed in our neighborhood, and the movie premieres at 7 p.m. Monday at the Angelika.
