Burguesa Burger is open already on Fort Worth Avenue. It wasn’t open in time for us to include it in our $5 lunches story. But Burguesa Burger’s $3 hamburger and $4 double-patty made the Preston Hollow Advocate’s June cover story.
Here’s an excerpt:
“Mexican food meets hamburgers at this funky, orange little shack. Order at the window and dine al fresco at one of the picnic tables.
“All the prices here already include tax, plus you can add a fried egg, ham, avocado or bacon to any burger for just 50 cents.”
In other restaurant news, we hear that Cafe Madrid in the Bishop Arts District has closed. That makes two restaurants in the B.A.D. that have closed recently. Vitto Italian closed last month.
