Daniel Rodrigue’s very thorough profile of Chango Botánica is an interesting read. At the end, you’ll find out that some Oak Cliff businesses fear that rezoning under the Bishop-Davis plan will push them out of the neighborhood.

They’re tearing down the Alamo Plaza motel and its owner, Brent Jackson, has a letter of intent from a grocer who wants that spot, although he’s not saying who. At one time, Alamo Plaza was a chain of 21 roadside motels.

Dave Neumann has appointed a task force (Why do we always have to call it that?) regarding the Cliff Manor dispute.

And the Observer picked their 15 favorite outfits at the Lady Gaga concert last night. I approve of all of them except for the women wearing flat shoes. Do they even let you in to a Lady Gaga concert without heels?
