Dueling chamber luncheons: Ebby Halliday vs. Trinity River Corridor

How to choose? The Oak Cliff and West Dallas chambers of commerce are bringing heaters to the luncheon table Thursday, Aug. 26.

The first lady of Dallas real estate, Ebby Halliday, will speak at the Oak Cliff chamber luncheon, which starts at 11:30 a.m. at the Weiss Auditorium at Methodist hospital. It’s $25 for members and $35 otherwise. You must RSVP [214-943-4567 or cklepfer@oakcliffchamber.org] because there are 120 seats, and more than 100 have been sold already. You guys, Ebby Halliday is 99 years old. I want to go just to see what it’s like to be 99 and still working.

The West Dallas Chamber has an update on the Trinity River Corridor Project. Speakers include project manager Rebecca Rasor. That lunch starts at noon at the El Centro College West Campus. It’s a brown-bag lunch and it’s free.
