The first of 50 formerly homeless people that the Dallas Housing Authority expects to move into Cliff Manor arrived at the Fort Worth Avenue highrise today. The DMN has this touching story about one of the first guys to move from The Bridge to Cliff Manor.

Neighbors opposed the plan to move 100 otherwise homeless people, who either have a stabilized mental illness or past drug addiction, from The Bridge to Cliff Manor. And after meeting with a “task force” appointed by City Council District 3 representative David Neumann, the housing authority decided to move only 50 as part of a plan to find permanent supportive housing for some 700 homeless people throughout the city.
