The school year is getting closer, and the Catholic Foundation wants parents and students to think about their favorite Catholic school educators and staff members to nominate for its $500 Work of Heart grants.
The grants, which were established by an anonymous donor in 2005, aim to honor and motivate Catholic school employees. Full-time and part-time employees are eligible, and in the past, winners have included teachers, principals, assistants, nurses and maintenence engineers.
Since its inception, 639 grants totaling $444,500 have been awarded to people in 37 schools. Find instructions on how to nominate at the foundation’s website.
