‘Ride the Divide’ screens tonight, Tuesday Aug. 31

One of the most inspirational athletes I interviewed for our September cover story is Ray Porter of Oak Cliff. Porter is an endurance cyclist who regularly competes in, and often wins, 24-hour and 100-mile races. Last year, he attempted the Tour Divide, a 2,700 mile race from Canada to the Mexico border. And I have a feeling he will complete it as soon as next year.

There’s a documentary, “Ride the Divide”, all about the Tour Divide. And it’s screening at Studio Movie Grill on Royal Lane tonight, Tuesday Aug. 31, at 7 p.m. Even if you can’t make it out to the movie tonight, check out the trailer for the film. It’s amazing people do that, and one guy in the trailer says it’s his fifth time.
