This weekend: sales, music, music

It’s the first Thursday in August, and that means there’s a party in the Bishop Arts District. Bring school supplies for Christ Episcopal and get discounts at Shambala, Fete-ish, Zola’s, Green Pet, Hunky’s, Indigo 1745 and Cozy Cottage. Make Shop & Studio is having a fabric sale from 6-9 p.m., and if you register in person, all classes for August and September are $14.

Pandarosa, the South Dallas-based indie record label, is having its 7th annual showcase at 8 p.m. Friday at Prophet Bar.

Pleasant Grove plays at the Kessler Theater Saturday at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10.
