Oak Cliff got its mojo working this weekend during Blues, Bandits and Barbecue. It’s a dangerous statement, but this could possibly be the most fun I’ve had at an Oak Cliff festival. Sure, it was hot. Everyone was sweating, and we all smelled like smoked meat.

But Franconia was there with beer samples. The pop-up shops were selling tons of awesome stuff. There was good food. And it was all pretty chill. The barbecue teams started cooking Saturday, and most of them camped over night. So it was like a big tailgate party at Clinton and Seventh Saturday night.
