One of the three “finalists” for the Clark County school superintendent’s job has dropped out, so DISD Supt. Michael Hinojosa now has only one competitor for the job of leading the Las Vegas school district. Interviews with both candidates are Wednesday and Thursday of this week; a decision is expected in late September or early October. Channel 8 is reporting the school board in Las Vegas may decide at its Thursday meeting to invite an additional candidate to fill the third spot; if that happens, the whole process will likely be delayed for a couple of weeks.

You can read my thoughts about why Hinojosa is considering leaving Dallas. And look Tuesday for my idea about how the school board can easily make things better for the next superintendent.
