This taco stand in the Bishop Arts District has a surprisingly big menu.

Take the breakfast menu. Along with egg tacos ($1.25) plus bacon, chorizo or potatoes, there are also plates — eggs and breakfast meat, plus beans and rice. Or you can order a breakfast torta ($2.25), which was new to me. Have you heard of this? I didn’t try it, but maybe next time.

The egg and chorizo tacos, which I ordrered with white cheese, in my gringa way, were ready fast and tasted great. They came with a mild green salsa that was salty but good. Comideria El Padrino doesn’t have coffee, but you can bring your tacos to Espumoso for café.
