This weekend: movie, jazz, urban bazaar, SRV ride

Tonight, Sept. 30, the Texas Theatre is screening “Return to Giant”, a documentary about the filming of “Giant”. The historic theater is under new management, and it’s undergoing renovations. Admission is $7, and there’s beer.

Also tonight, Ricki Derek performs at the Kessler.

The final Make Urban Bazaar is Saturday and Sunday in the Bishop Arts District. Make Shop & Studio owner Julie McCullough Kim is opening IndieGenius, which will replace the biannual urban bazaars.

The 15th annual Stevie Ray Vaughan Remembrance Ride and Concert is Sunday. It starts at Hooter’s in the West End at 11:15 a.m., and the motorcyclists will caravan to Cowboys Dancehall in Arlington.
