This weekend: music, movies, parks, Halloween

10.29 JUNIOR BROWN performs at the Kessler Theater. Tickets are $25.

10.29 BEETLEJUICE The second installment of “Movies on the Lawn” at Turner House is free, and it starts at 7:30 p.m. The grounds open at 6:30 p.m.

10.30 LET THE RIGHT ONE IN screens at 7:30 p.m. at the Texas Theatre, and they have a whole line-up of movies this weekend, including a late show Saturday. Tickets are $8.

10.30 HALLOWEEN AT THE KESSLER The BAcksliders, Floramay Holliday and the Trinity River Folk perform. Cliff Notes Prolonged Media will present a haunted house for kids. Tickets are $10.

10.30 PARK BEAUTIFICATION Friends of Oak Cliff Parks will be out working at two parks Saturday at 8 a.m. They’ll load and spread mulch at Oak Cliff Founders Park, which is north of Colorado from Lake Cliff Park, and Kidd Springs Park with the help of volunteers from Methodist hospital add Kidd Springs Central. Neighbors are encouraged to volunteer.

10.30 HALLOWEEN PARTIES The Hampton-Illinois Branch Library will have Halloween-themed childrens activities from 10:30 a.m.-noon. And Tyler Street Christian Academy will have a carnival from 6-9 p.m.
