This weekend: toy drive, art crawl, a Santa thriller, Christmas jam

Tonight, Dec. 16, Bar Belmont is having a toy drive for the Dallas Life Foundation. Bring a new, unwrapped toy and get a free beer, glass of wine or well drink.

The Oak Cliff Chamber of Commerce awards are at noon Friday in the Orion Ballroom.

The Tyler/Davis Art Crawl is from 4-10 p.m. Saturday. Art Garcia has a show at the Davis Foundry. Oil & Cotton is having a holiday party with cookies and cocoa. Mighty Fine Arts has an opening reception for an exhibit from “the Brians”, Brian Scott and Brian Jones. All the shops and galleries, including CocoAndré, Cliff Notes Prolonged Media, Daniel Padilla Gallery, the Cube Creative and Studio 109,  will be open.

The Texas Theatre has Fritz Lang’s “Metropolis” at 7 p.m Friday and 3 p.m. Sunday. And “Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale”. Watch the trailer and see if you don’t laugh out loud.

The Kessler Theater has Bobby Patterson tonight. Tickets are $15. David Garza performs Friday. Tickets are $20. Milo Deering and his family band perform their “Christmas Jam” Saturday. Tickets are $10-$20.
