Comment on the Oak Cliff streetcar plan Jan. 27 at Methodist

A community meeting to present and discuss plans for a streetcar line from downtown to Oak Cliff is at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 27 in the Hitt Auditorium at Methodist hospital.

The $35 million project to build a streetcar line from Houston Street to Methodist got $23 million in federal stimulus money. To satisfy the government’s requirements (the streetcars are supposed to benefit job creation), the line must be complete by the end of 2013.

See the city’s plans for the streetcar line and tell them what you think at the meeting Thursday.
