Jorge Ypina was victim Inez Skelton’s neighbor. He lived near her home on West Davis at Westmoreland. Texas Rangers and Dallas police matched DNA from crime scene evidence to Ypina, who is serving time in a Henderson prison for unrelated crimes, according to the Dallas Morning News.

That story says Ypina is suspected of other burglaries in the neighborhood as well.

Since Skelton’s home was robbed, Ypina could be charged with capital murder, and if he’s convicted, he could face the death penalty.
