Spiral Diner offers soup cooking class

Nothing says warm and cozy quite like a piping-hot bowl of homemade soup. For those who are fond of cooking such comfort food, Spiral Diner on North Beckley is offering a soup cooking class on Monday, Jan. 31 from 7-9 p.m. The class will be instructed by owner Sara Tomerlin, and will include instructions on making soups like: Chicken Noodle, Georgia Peanut, Potato-Corn Chowder, Goulash, Tortilla and Baracho Bean Soup. The class will also teach students how to make cornbread to accompany the soup. Remember to sign up ahead of time because the cooking classes do not allow walk-ins. The class is $40 per person. To sign up, visit the diner or call 214.948.4747.

While you’re hanging out in the diner, be sure to check out the new blue plate special, Eggplant Pomodoro and the Eggplant Parmesan Sandwich. Word has it the sandwich is phenomenal with a side of ranch dressing.
