Friday, Jan. 21 is National Hugging Day. And yoga studio Tranquilo is teaming up with Growth Life Studio for free yoga and chiropractic massage from 6-9 p.m. at Tranquilo. We’re not sure who you have to hug to get the free stuff. But there also will be a DJ, food and drinks.

“Dogtooth” opens at the Texas Theatre at 6:15 p.m. Friday, and it runs through Thursday, Jan. 27. The theater is also hosting a teaser — get it, TEASER? — to the Dallas Burlesque Festival at 9:30 p.m. Friday. Tickets for that are $20. And the Texas continues its Jaques Tati director series with “Mon Oncle” at 2 p.m. Saturday and “Traffic” at 2 p.m. Sunday.

The Kessler has Ruby Jane, Bravo Max and the Jitterbug Vipers on Friday. Tickets are $12. And there are still tickets available for Bob Schneider’s early show at 7 p.m. Saturday. They’re $22.50.

The first Foodways Texas dinner is Monday, Jan. 24 at Smoke. Tickets are $75.
