The Army Corps of Engineers decertified the Trinity River Levees, which means the federal government must redraw the flood plain maps as if the levees didn’t exist.
Says the Oak Cliff Chamber: “It not only forces property owners anywhere near the Trinity to buy costly flood insurance, it also significantly decreases the value of those properties.”
