Dallas County’s governing panel pressured elections supervisor Bruce Sherbet to resign. That sparked a lot of ire, which resulted in a racially charged exchange between South Dallas commissioner John Wiley Price and Sherbet’s supporters.
So at the next meeting, County Judge Clay Jenkins had to strictly enforce rules about speaking in court.
Jenkins will answer questions about that and how state budget cuts could affect Dallas County at the Oak Cliff Chamber of Commerce lunch, 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 24 at the Golf Club of Dallas. Tickets are $25 for chamber members and $35 otherwise. To attend, RSVP to email@example.com.
